Menlo Park police chief retiring 

Bruce Goitia, the police chief is retiring after 28 years with the Menlo Park Police Department. Goitia, who has a master’s degree in public administration from Notre Dame de Namur University, began working at the department in 1982 as a records clerk. He has since served as a police officer, a traffic officer, a traffic sergeant, a detective sergeant and a commander before becoming police chief in 2006. His retirement is effective June 1.
