Cal knocked off by Baylor

Despite taking a seven-point lead into halftime — and having Danielle Wilson, Baylor’s scoring leader limited to just 17 minutes overall because of foul trouble — Lauren Greif (10) and the No. 12 Cal women’s basketball team dropped a tough game to host No. 13 Baylor 69-56. Ashley Walker scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and Alexis Gray-Lawson added 15 for the Bears (4-1).

Stanford comes back

Candice Wiggins scored 22 points and the No. 4 Stanford women’s basketball team beat Temple 64-54 in the Paradise Jam despite trailing by 17 points at halftime. Stanford (5-1) opened the second half with a 17-0 run, capped by Kayla Pedersen’s reverse layup that gave them a 41-39 lead with 12:45 to play.
