Meetings offer another resource for job seekers

When looking for a job, many people forget to pursue such indirect routes as the informational interview. A way to explore career goals, network with potential employers, keep interview skills sharp and make unexpected connections, the informational interview can open doors to employment.

For those interested in learning more about informational interviewing, nonprofit PeninsulaWorks is offering a free two-hour workshop on the job search tool at the Redwood City Downtown Library, 1044 Middlefield Road, from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Space is limited and advance registration is recommended.

Call (650) 802-3371 to reserve a spot. PeninsulaWorks is also offering another workshop, “The HR Hiring Process,” at the library on Oct. 27 and “Job Search for 55 & Older” on Nov. 24.
