McCaskill to vote against omnibus 

The Hill reports:

"It'll be interesting to see — I'm voting no," she said in a conference call with Missouri reporters. "The omnibus is a name for the giant spending bills that come through at the end of the year that are usually laden with earmarks. So it'll be interesting to see if they can get the votes for this."

I would not be surprised to see a few other Democrats facing re-election in 2012 take the same position. The decision to propose this $1.1 trillion bill in the lame duck has to be one of the most politically tone-deaf decisions since...well, since they decided to pass Obamacare.
