A marijuana dispensary owner was kidnapped and robbed at gunpoint while his South of Market residence was burglarized Sunday, police said Monday.

The 42-year-old victim received a call from an unknown caller about marijuana and was asked to meet in the 800 block of Harrison Street about 7:30 p.m., police said.

When the victim arrived, one of five suspects ordered him into a black Chevy van where the other suspects tied up the victim’s hands and feet before taking his watch and cash, police said. The victim said a two-door silver Honda was involved with the robbery. At some point, the victim was released from the van.

When the victim returned to his home he found that the alarm had been tripped and the place had been burglarized. In total, the victim lost his watch, wallet, cash, marijuana, two televisions, a key ring with keys and three cellphones, police said.

The victim was not injured during the ordeal.

The suspects were described as men aged 25 to 30, police said.

No arrests have been reported.
