Man, woman attacked by man and dog near AT&T Park

A man and a woman were attacked by a man and his dog near AT&T Park on Wednesday night, police said.

The woman was on her cellphone in the 200 block of King Street about 8 p.m. when a man who appeared to be in his 20s approached and grabbed the phone and threw her to the ground, police said. He then began punching the woman.

The male victim tried to intervene but the suspect sicced his dog on him, police said. At some point, the suspect’s dog also bit the woman.

The suspect and the dog fled.

It did not appear that the suspect got away with the woman's phone, according to the police report.
