Man, woman assaulted and robbed in Mid-Market area 

A man and woman were assaulted and robbed in Mid-Market on Friday by another man and woman, police said. The male suspect was later arrested.

The two victims, a 21-year-old woman and 24-year-old man, were in the area of Turk and Market streets about 10:42 p.m. when the man was assaulted by another man, who appeared to be in his 20s. The suspect hit the victim over the head and shoulder with a skateboard.

Meanwhile, a woman, who also appeared to be in her 20s, punched the female victim and pulled her hair, police said, before the two suspects grabbed the victims' wallet, purse, keys and phone.

Responding officers found the male suspect near the scene and the victims identified him.

He was identified by police as 20-year-old San Francisco resident Shaun Roberson, Officer Grace Gatpandan said. He was booked on two charges of felony robbery and one charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
