Man who was shot in the head identified 

A man who was shot in the head in a car in San Francisco’s Bayview district on Saturday morning has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as 31-year-old Delmond Carter.

At about 7 a.m., officers were flagged down in the area of La Salle Avenue and Ingalls Street, San Francisco police Officer Samson Chan said.

They were told there was an unconscious person in a vehicle nearby. The officers found Carter dead with one gunshot wound to the head in a Honda Civic.

Carter was a San Francisco resident.

No one has been arrested.

The death is being treated as a homicide, Chan said.
