A man tried to ram a San Francisco police squad car in the Fillmore on Saturday, police said.

Officers responded to the 1300 block of Webster Street about 10:35 p.m. to investigate a possible auto burglary in progress.

Police were searching a parking facility in their squad car when a silver SUV driving the wrong way on Webster Street attempted to ram them, police said.

Police reportedly avoided being struck and the officers were not injured.

The vehicle was last reported to be seen in the area of Market and Gough streets.

The suspect driver was described as a man in his 20s. No arrest has been made.
