A man was seriously wounded after being stabbed in the neck with a rebar early Thursday at Mission and 15th streets, Officer Gordon Shyy said.
Officers reportedly responded to the area about 1:40 a.m. and found the 51-year-old man suffering a life threatening puncture wound. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital.
"It appears there might have been a verbal argument that escalated, possibly with two suspects," Shhy said, adding it was unclear what the argument was about.
The suspects, who were vaguely described as a man and woman in their 30s, remain on the loose.
