Man stabbed in Mission incident 

A man was stabbed multiple times in the Mission on Thursday, police said.

The 22-year-old victim was standing on the corner of 16th and Mission streets about 12:15 a.m. when two men approached and asked him where he was from. The victim said "nowhere," and the two suspects then punched and kicked him. One of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim several times in the stomach, neck and back.

The two thugs fled and were not found.

The victim was hospitalized for his injuries, which were not life-threatening.
