Man shot, killed in Potrero Hill identified 

The man who was shot and killed in Potrero Hill this week was identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office as 24-year-old San Francisco resident Edric Carr.

Carr was shot in the area of 25th and Connecticut streets about 9:58 a.m. Tuesday, according to police. He sustained several gunshot wounds to his upper body and died at the hospital.

Police have little info on possible suspects. Carr’s death was the 13th homicide of the year in San Francisco. It was the second homicide in less than 24 hours and the fourth so far in June.

An investigation into Carr's killing is ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to call (415) 575-4444 or text TIP411 with “SFPD” at the beginning of the message.
