Man shot in Tenderloin district

One man was shot last night in The City's Tenderloin district and was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.

At roughly 2:35 a.m., San Francisco police responded to reports of shots fired on the 400 block of Ellis Street and found a man with at least one gunshot wound.

The man was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, and the severity of his injuries is unknown.

San Francisco police recently conducted a six-day sting on drug dealers in the area, with a majority of the busts coming in the Tenderloin and South of Market area, where recent violence had been linked to drug deals.
