Man robs pharmacy at knifepoint, flees in taxicab 

A man robbed a pharmacy at knifepoint at Van Ness Avenue and Sutter Street on Saturday, police said.

The suspect, reportedly a man in his late 30s, walked into the store about 7:09 a.m. and began filling a basket with personal hygiene items and walked past the cash registers holding a knife in one hand and the basket in the other and reportedly used threatening language, police said.

The suspect then flagged down a Yellow cab and fled the scene.
