Man robbed of bag, MP3 player while waiting at Muni stop

A man was beaten and robbed while waiting for a bus in the Sunnydale neighborhood Sunday morning, police said.

The 28-year-old victim was listening to his MP3 player at Santos Street and Geneva Avenue around 7:20 a.m. when two men aged 18 to 20 approached and grabbed for the victim’s MP3 player, police said.

The victim resisted and was punched in the face by one of the crooks while the other grabbed the victim’s shoulder bag, police said. The crooks fled on foot with the bag, MP3 player, wallet and cash.

The victim sustained swelling to his face and cut to his leg. He was treated at the scene.
