Man pepper-sprayed, robbed of violin while dining in the Mission

These crooks were not fiddling around.

A man was pepper-sprayed and robbed of his violin while he was eating at a Mission district restaurant Wednesday, police said.

The 56-year-old victim was eating at a restaurant in the 2000 block of Mission Street about 10:40 p.m. when he got into an argument with a woman who appeared to be in her 30s, police said.

The woman reportedly left the restaurant and returned with two men, police said. Another argument erupted and the woman then sprayed the victim in the face with pepper spray.

The two men grabbed the victim’s violin and fled with the woman.

There was very little description of the suspects and no arrests were made.
