Man parks car to use phone, gets robbed in the Mission

A driver who pulled over to use his phone was robbed by opportunistic crooks in the Mission on Wednesday, police said.

The 39-year-old man was driving on Mariposa Street when he stopped in the 2400 block to use his phone about 6:12 a.m., police said. A black four-door sedan pulled up in front of him, blocking his vehicle. The passenger in the sedan jumped out and robbed the victim at gunpoint of two cellphones and his wallet.

The suspects then drove away but were later arrested.
