Man killed in Monday morning shooting

A 30-year-old man was killed and his 9-year-old daughter injured in a drive-by shooting in San Francisco late this morning, police Sgt. Steve Mannina said.

Two other men, brothers ages 21 and 23, were also injured by gunfire, Mannina said.

The shooting happened at about 11:40 a.m., when a gunman in a passing vehicle fired multiple shots that struck four people standing on the sidewalk in the 100 block of Santos Street near the city's southern border, Mannina said.

All four victims, who live in the area, were transported to San Francisco General Hospital, Mannina said.

The 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The other three victims sustained non-life threatening injuries, Mannina said.

Police have not released a description of the suspect vehicle in the shooting, but Mannina said the vehicle fled onto Brookdale Avenue to Geneva Avenue, and from Geneva Avenue onto Mission Street.

The investigation is ongoing.
