Man injured in Tenderloin drive-by shooting

A man was injured Monday night in a drive-by shooting in the Tenderloin, police said.

The 38-year-old victim was standing in the area of Leavenworth and Turk streets about 9:54 p.m. when a man in his 40s drove by in a four-door sedan and shot the victim in the leg, police said.

The suspect fled the scene and no arrest was reported as of today.

The victim was taken to the hospital for his injuries, which were not life-threatening.
