Man injured after argument leads to shooting in Telegraph Hill 

Police said an argument led to a shooting that injured a 60-year-old man in Telegraph Hill on Sunday afternoon.

Police were called at 2:32 p.m. regarding a report of a shooting at Columbus Avenue and Vallejo Street, Sgt. Monica Macdonald said.

Macdonald said the suspect and victim were in a verbal argument in the street when the suspect allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the victim in the upper body.

According to KTVU (Ch. 2), the victim reportedly hit the suspect's car with a cane during the argument before he was shot in the shoulder.

The victim, a 60-year-old man, was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening. Police said the suspect drove away in a gray sedan and is currently at large.

The circumstances of the dispute are under investigation.
