Man injured in stabbing near Mission Bay neighborhood 

A man was injured in a stabbing in the Mission Bay area on Tuesday, police said.

The 43-year-old victim was talking to someone near 7th and Irwin streets about 4:20 p.m. when he felt a sharp pain in his leg, police said.

The man fell to the ground and saw two men, who appeared to be in their late 20s, fleeing the scene on bicycles in an unknown direction.

The man was taken to the hospital for his injuries, which were not life threatening.
