Man injured in SoMa shooting on Thursday 

A man was injured in a shooting in the South of Market area on Thursday night, police Officer Grace Gatpandan said.

The 59-year-old victim was in the 900 block of Harrison Street near Fifth Street about 9:10 p.m. when a red vehicle drove up and an unknown suspect inside the vehicle shot the victim in the leg.

He was taken to the hospital for his injuries, which were not life threatening.

Muni was rerouted during the course of the initial investigation, Gatpandan said.

There are no known susupects at this time and no arrest has been made.
