A man was injured in a shooting in Potrero Hill early Wednesday morning, police Officer Gordon Shyy said.

The 33-year-old victim was standing outside in the 900 block of Connecticut Street about 2:20 a.m. when he was shot multiple times.

There was very little suspect description as of Wednesday morning, Shyy said. The victim was reportedly not very cooperative with police.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his leg, and his injuries were not life threatening.

Police were alerted to the shooting via the ShotSpotter system, Shyy said. When officers arrived at the scene they found the victim and no one else.

A witness nearby told police he heard gunshots but did not see anything.
