Man hit in head with brick in one of many San Francisco robberies 

A man was pummeled in the head with a brick for refusing to give his money to vicious crooks in one of several robberies in The City Monday and Tuesday.

Silver Avenue and Cambridge Street
6:30 a.m. Monday

A thug in his 20s pepper-sprayed a 55-year-old woman in the face and stole her purse. The victim was waiting at a bus stop when she was pepper-sprayed, robbed and knocked to the ground.

500 block of Alemany Boulevard
5:30 p.m. Monday

A 27-year-old woman was punched in the face and robbed of her cash and ATM card by an unknown male, police said.

2500 block of Mission Street
2:55 a.m. Tuesday

Three men who ranged in age from 20 to 40 demanded a 33-year-old man’s money, cops said. The victim refused and ran into a cab and reported the attempted robbery at Mission Station.

18th and Capp streets
3 a.m. Tuesday

A 28-year-old man was hit in the head with a brick in an attempted robbery, police said. The victim was threatened by two men in their 20s, one with a knife and the other with the brick. When he refused to turn over his money, he was struck in the head with the brick. He was treated at the hospital for nonlife-threatening injuries.
