Man hit by car close to Kezar still hospitalized

A 25-year-old man who was struck by a car near Kezar Stadium on Sunday remains hospitalized, according to the police.

The man was crossing Kezar Drive just before Lincoln Way at 11 p.m. when a 19-year-old driver going westbound on Kezar Drive struck him, according to San Francisco police Officer Maria Oropeza.

The victim, whose name has not been released and whose residence is unknown, was transferred to San Francisco General Hospital where he was treated for injuries to both his legs. He is still at the hospital and his prognosis is unknown.

After hitting the victim the driver swerved and collided with an eastbound car. There were no injuries to the drivers of the car and alcohol was not a factor, Oropeza said, adding that there is a traffic light and crosswalk at the intersection but it is unclear at this time whether the pedestrian was crossing against a red light.
