These crooks were real cutpurses.

A man had his wallet literally cut from his pants during a robbery in the Tenderloin on Tuesday, police said.

The 44-year-old victim was in the area of Turk and Taylor streets around 1 a.m. when four men in their 20s approached, police said. One of the suspects had a knife and used it to tear into the victim’s pants in order to get at his wallet.

The crooks fled the scene on foot with the victim’s wallet, police said.  The victim had cuts to his hand and leg during the robbery, but his injuries were not life threatening, police said. He was taken to the hospital.
