Man gunned down in S.F.'s Excelsior district 

A 25-year-old man was fatally gunned down in The City’s Excelsior district early Sunday morning, according to police.

Carlos Cruz, of San Francisco, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the 400 block of Persia Avenue around 3:40 a.m., San Francisco police Sgt. Neville Gittens said.

Cruz was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he later died of his injuries, police said.

No arrests have been made. Two suspects have been described as Hispanic males, police said.

There have been two homicides reported in the last 90 days within the boundaries of Ingleside Police Station, which patrols the Excelsior district, according to the San Francisco Police Department’s CrimeMaps Web site.
