Man gunned down in early-morning Mission shooting 

A 24-year-old man was fatally shot in the Mission district early Saturday morning, a police spokesman said.

The shooting was reported about 2:25 a.m. near the intersection of 17th and Mission streets, police Sgt. Mike Andraychak said.

The victim, identified as by the Medical Examiner’s Office as Aldo Troncoso of San Francisco, was taken to a hospital, where he died about 4 a.m., Andraychak said.

A black SUV-type vehicle was seen leaving the scene of the shooting, but no arrests have been made and no other suspect information was available, Andraychak said.

The gang task force is assisting the investigation.
