Man found dead in Visitacion Valley home ruled a homicide 

A 24-year-old man was found dead from head trauma in a home in San Francisco's Visitacion Valley neighborhood on Friday and police are considering the case a homicide, a police spokeswoman said today.

The victim, identified by the medical examiner's office as San Francisco resident Marcus Douglas, was found dead by officers responding at 5:08 p.m. Friday to a home in the 1500 block of Sunnydale Avenue, police spokeswoman Officer Grace Gatpandan said.

The case was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner but the cause of Douglas' death has not been determined, Gatpandan said.

No suspect information was immediately available in connection with the death, she said.

Friday's homicide is The City's 19th this year.
