A man was carjacked in the Tenderloin on Monday in broad daylight, police said.

The 23-year-old victim was driving near the intersection of Golden Gate Avenue and Hyde Street about 2:30 p.m. when he stopped for a red light.

Then, a man in his 20s jumped into the vehicle and a struggle ensued. The suspect brandished a handgun and the victim jumped out of his car.

The suspect drove away in the victim's vehicle, police said. No arrest has been made.
