Man bloodied, burglarized in Marina home invasion robbery

A man was bloodied and his room was burglarized in what police are saying was a home invasion robbery in the Marina on Saturday morning, Officer Grace Gatpandan said.

The 31-year-old victim met the two suspects, who appeared to be in their 20s, at Safeway about 2 a.m., Gatpandan said. The suspects reportedly asked the victim if he had any drugs.

The next thing the victim knew, he woke up in his room in the 1700 block of Lombard Street in a pool of blood and his laptop and guitar had been stolen, Gatpandan said. He contacted police about 5:30 p.m.

The victim sustained injuries to his face and head, but the injuries were not life-threatening.

No further information was available Monday.
