Man assaulted with wine bottle as he attempts to board bus in the FiDi 

A man was brutally assaulted with a wine bottle in the Financial District on Friday, police said Monday.

The suspects bumped into the 59-year-old victim as he was attempting to board a bus at Market and Kearney streets about 9:15 p.m. One of the two suspects, both of whom appeared to be in their 20s, then struck the man in the face with a glass wine bottle.

The victim was hospitalized for severe injuries. The victim lost at least one tooth and may have broken his broken jaw.

No arrests have been made.
