Man arrested on drunken driving charges after rolling SUV in Sea Cliff neighborhood

A man was arrested Monday in connection with a drunken driving incident in which he allegedly struck a vehicle in the Outer Richmond before rolling over his own SUV in Sea Cliff, Officer Grace Gatpandan said.

Marcus Gerald Kelly, 51, of San Francisco, is alleged to have struck a vehicle at Clement Street and 40th Avenue about 8:40 p.m. and kept driving until his SUV rolled over at El Camino Del Mar and McLaren Avenue, Gatpandan said.

Kelly was the sole occupant of the vehicle and emergency crews had to remove him through the sun roof, Gatpandan said. He was hospitalized, but his injuries were not life-threatening.

Kelly was booked at the hospital for misdemeanor drunken driving, Gatpandan said.

Because of a previous medical condition, he was admitted to and remains at the hospital after being cited and released by police.
