Man arrested for false alarm 

A 42-year-old San Francisco man claiming he was beaten and robbed Tuesday was arrested for making a false report of an emergency.

The man summoned emergency crews in the area of Haight and Stanyan streets around 2:30 a.m., police said.

Fire Department paramedics found no injuries, police said.

Police took the man into custody after discovering he was wanted on two local misdemeanor warrants for the same type of incident, police said.

He was booked at the nearby Park Station.
