Man, 71, injured in Tenderloin shooting on Friday 

A 71-year-old man was injured in a shooting in the Tenderloin on Friday, police said Tuesday.

Three men who appeared to be in their 20s were reportedly involved in a fight in the 800 block of O'Farrell Street about 10:13 p.m. when one of the men pulled out a gun and fired, police said. The bullet struck the 71-year-old, who was not involved in the fight.

The man was hospitalized but his injury was not life-threatening.

The trio fled and no arrests were made.
