Maine woman jailed for swindling children's mental care program

Dawn Solomon, 43, of Maine was sentenced to 42 months in state prison for blatantly overcharging more than $4 million to a MaineCare program providing services to children with mental disabilities. Solomon’s Living Independence Network Corp. overbilled Maine an average of $134,000 a month for non-existent services. She also fraudulently put numerous relatives and personal employees on the Living Independence payroll, as well as charging MaineCare for her personal living expenses.
