Lowell slips past Portland team

Mike Lazerus scored on a bases-loaded wild pitch to break a fifth-inning tie and Elan Lavie drove in a pair of runs with two singles as the Lowell baseball team beat Lincoln of Portland, Ore., 3-2 Friday in a nonconference game at Big Rec. Gason Guibert picked up another save, getting out of a two-on, none-out jam in the sixth by retiring the final six batters he faced.
