‘Lovely details’ in remodeled building

This Pacific Heights penthouse is one of only 12 half-floor residences in the building.

"The building was built in 1927 so it has very lovely details in the ornate plaster," says listing agent Dona Crowder with Pacific Union Real Estate. "It has recently been refurbished with new hardwood floors and a remodeled kitchen and bath. It was just really, really nicely redone."

The building is on a corner and has elaborate entryway details with a vaulted ceiling.

The formal entry of the residence opens to a spacious living room with a wood-burning fireplace surrounded by a stone mantle. The formal dining room has east-facing windows that fill the room with morning light and offers vistas of Russian Hill.

A recently remodeled gourmet kitchen has a buffet and breakfast area. It features a professional gas Wolf range and oven, a Miele dishwasher and a Sub-Zero refrigerator. The cabinetry was custom-ordered by previous owners. There is also a rear butler’s pantry, service elevator and rear stairway.

The bedroom wing off the formal entry leads to a master suite with a remodeled custom-tile bath, shower over tub and walk-in closet. The second bedroom has its own remodeled bath and is freshly painted. A third bedroom with a separate remodeled bath is presently used as a home office.

"It also has a semi-private garage with two-car parking and extra storage," says Crowder. "And there is a laundry in the unit."
