LIU rolls past St. Francis (Pa) 97-76 

Jamal Olasewere scored 26 points to lead five Long Island players in double figures in a 97-76 win over St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday night.

The Blackbirds made 19 of 28 field goal attempts in the second half and shot 59.7 percent (37 of 62) for the game. Olasewere, who also grabbed 10 rebounds, made 11 of 16.

Julian Boyd added 17 points, Kenny Onyechi had 12, Brandon Thompson 11 and C.J. Garner 10 for the Blackbirds (15-7, 9-1 Northeast Conference), who have won 10 of their past 11 games. Jason Brickman had a career-high 12 assists for LIU.

A 13-0 run in the first half gave LIU the lead good at 17-9. Leading 48-36 at halftime, the Blackbirds scored the first 10 points of the second half and led by at least 12 points the rest of the way.

Ollie Jackson led St. Francis (5-16, 4-6) with 24 points.
