Lions and Mustangs take over turkey day

Two high school football teams have a lot more to worry about than turkey on Thanksgiving Day.

Thousands of people usually come to the school district’s annual Turkey Day Championship in Kezar Stadium on Thanksgiving Day and this year’s a heated game.

The Galileo Academy of Science and Technology Lions, which came from behind on an 18-game losing streak, could win their sixteenth championship since the tradition started more than 80 years ago – making them the record  holder for the number of wins.

But if the Abraham Lincoln High School Mustangs win, the team would be the first to win five consecutive Turkey Day championships.

However hardcore Turkey Day Championship fans should take note that the parking is not as cheap as it used to be.
