Lincoln snaps Washington’s streak 

Christine Collins struck out seven and allowed no walks as Lincoln beat Washington 12-2 Thursday, snapping the Eagles’ 26-game Academic Athletic Association softball winning streak. Catcher Tuai Tunai had three hits for Lincoln (12-1, 8-0), which had 10 hits and capitalized on eight walks and five hit batters from Washington (7-1).


Marco Zamudio ripped a walk-off single to left field in the bottom of the seventh, driving home Evan Mui and giving the Cobras (5-3, 4-3 AAA) a huge victory over the Boilermakers at Jackson Playground.

"We ran out there and tackled him at first base," ISA coach Nathan Cox said. "The guys were celebrating like we won the World Series."

Mui earned the win for the Cobras (5-3, 4-3 AAA), who came back after facing a 9-0 deficit after the top of the fourth inning. Andrew Villegas went 3-for-4 for O’Connell (1-6).

Lowell 11, Mission 0

Carter Rockwell went 2-for-2 with three RBIto lead the Cardinals (9-5, 7-1) over the Bears (3-5). Evan Brydon pitched three shutout innings to earn the win for Lowell.
