Library assists job searchers 

The San Mateo Main Library is helping people find jobs.

The library launched JobSeekers, a service that provides assistance in searching for jobs, applying online, writing résumés and other services. JobSeekers is available Mondays-Fridays between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the second floor of the library.

Volunteers, some with backgrounds in human resources, will be available to help people fill out online job applications, format résumés and search for positions online.

No registration is required to use the service.

The library said it is offering JobSeekers because many retailers are moving away from paper applications and are instead using online-only applications.
