SF, Seattle mayors enter ice cream bet over NFC Championship

Mayor Ed Lee has entered another friendly wager on the outcome of the Niners’ playoff run, this time with Seattle Mayor Edward B. Murray over the NFC Championship Game against the host Seahawks on Sunday.

The losing mayor will assist the winning mayor in raising $10,000 for a food bank or meal program in the winning city.

The losing mayor will send food items to the winning city’s mayor. Lee pledges to send Mitchell’s Ice Cream, Poco Dolce Chocolates and Lefty O’Doul’s original 1958 Bloody Mary Mix, while Murray would send Molly Moon’s Ice Cream and Theo Chocolate.

Lee has requested that City Hall continue to be lit in red and gold, and to remain lit for the remainder of the 49ers’ playoff run.
