Last day to request vote-by-mail ballot for November election is Tuesday 

The last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot for the Nov. 4 consolidated general election is Tuesday.

Voters who wish to vote by mail can request a ballot online at sfelections.org/vbm, by calling (415) 554-4375 or at the Department of Elections in City Hall, Room 48. An application can be found on the back cover of the Voter Information Pamphlet.

A request mailed or faxed to the Department of Elections must include the voter’s name, date of birth, signature, residential address and mailing address, if different from the residential address.

The Department of Elections must receive completed vote-by-mail applications no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Postmarks will not count.

The November ballot is stuffed with multiple statewide and local races, as well as a dozen propositions for The City alone.

The California Assembly District 17 race features two San Francisco supervisors, David Campos and David Chiu. Candidates are also vying for seats on the Board of Supervisors, BART board of directors, San Francisco Unified School District Board of Education, City College of San Francisco Board of Trustees, among others.
