Lantos plaque destined for SFO

A plaque honoring the late U.S. Rep. Tom Lantos is expected to be accepted by the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.

The plaque, valued at $15,000 and a gift from Lantos’ foundation, would be installed at the Terminal 3 hub at San Francisco International Airport. Lantos, who represented San Francisco and San Mateo, died in 2008. He had been diagnosed with esophageal cancer.
