Kudos: Block party to benefit a dozen nonprofits

GOOD, a media company for people who want to live well and do good, presents its second annual "Choose GOOD" Block Party on Sunday. On the program is live music by the Morning Benders, the Mumlers, DJ Franki Chan and DJ Vin Sol on a solar-powered outdoor stage. The fun also includes food and drink, art installations, free giveaways, games, rum tasting, silk-screening, button making and more.

The party runs from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at 111 Minna Gallery — enter on Second and Minna streets — in San Francisco. Admission is free for GOOD Magazine subscribers and $20 for other guests. Proceeds benefit the following nonprofit organizations: 826 National, Acumen Fund, Ashoka, IAVA, KIVA, Malaria No More, NRDC, Points of Light Institute, Room to Read, Slow Food, Teach for America and Youth Aids.

Note: Though the "Choose GOOD" Block Party is open to guests of all ages, the inside of 111 Minna Gallery will be restricted to those ages 21 and older.
