A new trial date could be set for Bieber in the Florida case charging him with driving under the influence, resisting arrest and possessing an invalid driver's license.
Justin Bieber’s trial date has been set.

The 20-year-old is scheduled to appear in a Florida court May 5 to face charges stemming from his Jan. 23 arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence after he was caught drag racing by police in Miami, according to E! News.

In addition to the DUI charge, Bieber, who has pleaded not guilty, also faces charges of resisting arrest and possessing an invalid driver’s license.

The originally scheduled trial date was postponed after attorneys fought against the release of videos that showed Bieber giving a urine sample for a drug test.

Meanwhile, Bieber had an upbeat response after video of him at a deposition connected to a separate civil suit was released Monday. He told fans via Twitter: “Love how some people use to twist and justify the horrible action of others. We all have a right to defend ourselves and feel harassed. They can’t break us. They can’t get us down. We are too strong.”
