Judge delays written order on tiger attack car, cell phone search

A Santa Clara County Superior Court judge said this morning that he would not issue an order regarding the car and cell phones in the San Francisco zoo tiger mauling case until Friday.

Judge Socrates Manoukian indicated he would issue a written ruling Friday as to whether San Francisco County and zoo officials should be allowed to inspect the car and cell phones of brothers Amritpal and Kulbir Dhaliwal before they are returned to them.

Both the car and cell phones have been in police custody since the Christmas Day mauling that resulted in the death of San Jose resident Carlos Sousa Jr.
