Jaco gets loose, gone after SBX semis

Lindsey Jacobellis has been eliminated from the Olympic snowboardcross contest after losing her balance in the semifinals.

The American, who settled for silver in 2006 after falling while trying a showoff move with a huge lead at the end of the final, didn't make it that far this time after losing her balance on an early jump and riding outside a gate.

She raised her hands in dismay and clasped them over her helmet as she rode off the course. She will be in the fifth-place race, while Canada's Maelle Ricker becomes the favorite to win the gold.
