Jack Bauer is a Canadian socialist 

Judging by the polls ahead of next month's Canadian election, the left-wing New Democrat Party is on pace to supplant the Liberal Party, long the dominant party of the Canadian center-left. The NDP might also do well enough in Quebec to dethrone the separatist Bloc Quebecois. It remains unclear at this point whether huge NDP gains would help or hurt the Conservative Party's chances of returning with an absolute majority in Parliament.
